This is the bike of Olivier Jacques and I find it really good looking with those smoke puffs/feathers to go with the Gauloises logos. Blue/Flourescent yellow is also really nice.

Superdetailed the kit with elecronic wiring, made clutch and throttle cables out of black painted fishing line and drilled out the holes of the brake discs. I also drilled out some areas of parts that are to tiny to be molded like the original parts. Amongst those are the rear brake calipers and the gear pedal.
Front fender and rearmost part of the rear cowling is painted Flourescent yellow  The yellow is to be covered with a decal but to make it look realistic you'll have to paint the area as a blue base coat will darken the decal. I made a copy of the yellow decal to measure the area to be painted. With masking tape and plastic foil I covered up the rest of the part. The result was great but I suggest you mask the yellow area off and prime the area to be painted blue. The blue color is slightly transparent wich could cause a sort of green effect in the line between blue and yellow.
TS-51 has a habbit of getting pretty dark if you spray thick layers repeatedly. Try to count how many layers you spray so each part get approximately the same amount, otherwise the difference will appear clearly.

The kit is sold without the tobacco advertising, that means, instead of Gauloises decals you get Go!!!!!!!! decals. These ones has been used in races were this sort of advertising is prohibited but i wanted the Gauloises logos on my machine. I ordered them from Ragged edge design in Australia. 11 Euro gave me all tobacco sets for 2001, West, Gauloises and Marlboro.
To get the feather formed decals aligned properly I suggest you apply them with all the body parts mounted on the frame. This way you can see how they line up. To help this process, Tamiya has printed the feather like decals in pairs or tripples with transparent film in between. I had serious problems with silvering in these areas. Solved most of it with MicroSol.

Nice looking bike wich could have turned out better if I had some skill... I had not learned to thin the acrylics which led to visible paint brush strokes. A LOT of finger prints in semi dry paint (before I learned to use gloves while painting). I also painted the fairings and cowling parts with too heavy coats of TS-17.
