Learning from earlier projects I put more glue between cowling-, tank-, and front fender parts that were to be assembled. This made them easier to sand down to a smooth surface . Primed all the body parts with grey Tamiya primer.

No problems really. Super detailing was kept to it's minimum, I only drilled out the holes in the discs. Lower cowling keeps falling off because the pins isn't properly aligned in some awkward way.... will glue it in place some time soon.
The exhaust system would look much better with some coloring due to high heat. I will have to work on this one on following projects.

A lot of decals as always on the GP bikes. The Red Bull Yamaha also has some tricky and irregular edges for the decals to conform to. For this build I had stocked MicroSet and MicroSol to help me out with these troubles, and they sorted some of them out. The large yellow area on the top cowling had to be filled in with yellow acrylic after too much needle stabbing...but as always, easy does it and I think the decals fell in place really good.

Nice looking bike wich could have turned out better if I had some skill... I had not learned to thin the acrylics which led to visible paint brush strokes. A LOT of finger prints in semi dry paint (before I learned to use gloves while painting). I also painted the fairings and cowling parts with too heavy coats of TS-17.
